Hey, everyone. We’re back with a small yet kind of big update. It’s small because we only released one new update on Tinkering and not really much else, but big because the reason for that is that we rolled out a completely new aspect to Rage Quit Ink. To make things easier, I’ll just start with the bigger side then roll into the Tinkering update.

The new thing we added is a new Subscription service on Tinkering called Habitué. This is our version (and solution) to a Patreon/Ko-Fi/Etc. For the last year or so, we’ve done a lot of talking when it comes to trying to figure out whether or not setting up a Patreon or a Ko-Fi or some other alternative is something that we think is worth going for. Even though we went through the process multiple times, we never ended up following through on launching it because of one thing: We really aren’t trying to focus on growth i.e. collecting as many followers as feasibly possible. Our only real priority is finding people who are sincerely invested in what we’re doing and want to have an easy way to support us directly. We also wanted to have an easy way to control the kind of growth we do end up experiencing i.e. limiting how many people can sign up for anything (similar to how we handle the online store).

This led us over the last couple of weeks to making the decision to just start using Tinkering in this way. We’re sure there are going to be some bugs since this is not at all what we were expecting to be going with but overall, we’re genuinely happy with the solution.

Signing up for Habitué will give you access to a number of things including Exclusive blog posts where we share things that we aren’t really open to sharing to the public. This is also where we’ll be sharing the finished pages for each of our OGNs as they get done which Dre has been especially concerned about since she does enjoy giving people a preview. There’s only one membership level for $5/mo with no additional fees. You’re also free to cancel at any time with no hard feelings. Promise.

You can learn more about this and join Habitué HERE.

Now, for the smaller update I was wrong we had more to share than just one thing:

  • For Habitué subscribers, we’ve put up a post for our Divination System that we made for Ash and Flowers of Azraeém – The Fateful Four. Good news is that all you’ll need are dice (or a dice generator) to use it. You can check out the post HERE.
  • We added two new composition books to the $ Bag – Dirty Magic and Omega Chain {Reborn} (which some people might find familiar).
  • Dre introduced a new NPC (and an old Character of hers) from Ash and Flowers – Magdiana. She also gives a bit of a taste for the inspiration behind the Rogue Pursuit. You can read more about her (and the inspiration behind playing a Rogue) HERE.

What’s next for us? A lot, actually. This turned out to be a strangely huge hang up for us when trying to figure out how to better scale Rage Quit Ink in order to comfortably move forward. This means that there’s a lot more that we’re feeling comfortable with putting out there for those who are interested and even if no one is, at least we have some place that we can put it to keep being excited about what we’re doing.

That’s it for now. We’ll still be putting up free posts for those who are just casually visiting so don’t worry if you’re not in the position to subscribe to anything.

Thanks for stopping by and take care,

  • E.
